Continuing Education

I will be traveling back to Florida to the Chi Institute on December 3rd for a 4-day course on veterinary Chinese herbal medicine.  This module is focused on kidney/geriatric/urinary/reproductive health.  Chinese medicine, whether acupuncture or herbal medicine, is focused on rebalancing the body.  Herbal medicines can have a profound effect on the body in helping restore that balance.  Below is a description from tcvm.com, the Chi Institute’s website, concerning the class.    I am really looking forward to learning more about herbal therapy to provide a deeper level of care for my patients.

September 2008 pet events

Friday, September 5th, 2008

Hi and thanks for visiting my website.  There are 2 fun events planned in Louisville in September that are pet related… the first is Bark in the Park, Sept 20th, at Seneca Park, sponsored by the Animal Care Society.  See www.animalcaresociety.org for details.  I will be there volunteering for the WAGS booth, which is the local Delta Society Pet Partners pet therapy group (Wonderful Animals Giving Support).  My dog Marlee and I are Pet Partners and enjoy pet therapy volunteering very much.  Another event is the Louisville Pet Expo at the fairgrounds on September 27th and 28th.  See www.louisvillepetexpo.com for details.  I will have a booth there to answer questions about acupuncture and have a great time meeting some nice pet-loving people!  I will have my girls Marlee (Australian Shepherd mix) and Zonker (mini dachshund) there with me to meet and greet.  Hope to see you there!
